Construction workis now underway on the 2500m² Duty Free area which will be divided into a food and beverage area and shopping quarter. The food & beverage area will include restaurants, fast food outlets, cafés and a food court. The remaining retail space will consist of specialty convenience stores, news & books, as well as vending machines and well-being services.
At present there is a money exchange kiosk, travel shop, cafe, ZAIN telecoms airport branch, AlBilad Bank Najaf branch and a convenience store.
Najaf Airport Authority Commercial department is seeking "middle- to high-end" brands in the areas of fashion apparel, leather goods, shoes, perfumes & cosmetics, and accessories, to feature in specialty or multi-brand store formats.
